UNRWA Italia

UNRWA is the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East. UNRWA provides assistance, protection and advocacy for some 5 million registered Palestine refugees in Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and the occupied Palestinian territory, pending a solution to their plight.

The Agency’s services encompass education, health care, relief, camp infrastructure and improvement, community support, microfinance and emergency response, including in times of armed conflict.

As in other Countries like USA and Spain, UNRWA decided to promote an Italian Committee for UNRWA. Serving as the public face of UNRWA, the Italian Committee raises funds from the private sector, promote refugees’ rights and secures visibility for UNRWA beneficiaries threatened by poverty, armed conflict, abuse and exploitation.

We have partnered with the newborn UNRWA Italia Commettee to kickstart the online activities of the association: a first version of the website, a mailing list and initial social media strategy.

We have designed and developed the main website with great attention to usability and visual communication, working closely together with UNRWA staff, coping with the initial scarcity of contents and delivering something immediately "actionable".

We support the main message of the newborn commettee: "La pace inizia qui" (Peace Starts Here), which is also the title of a powerful UNRWA campaign, and we wish the Commeettee to be very successful in doing its (small) part in this very complex peace process.
